The Coastal Cottage wants you to be in love with your purchases.  If you are not satisfied with your online order, please contact The Coastal Cottage within 14 days of purchase via email at thecoastalcottageshop@gmail.com with “Return from (insert your name)” in the subject to claim your return. 

If the item was purchased in our store located in Ocean View, De. and you are not satisfied with your item, please contact The Coastal Cottage within 14 days via telephone: (302) 539-7821 or email: thecoastalcottageshop@gmail.com with “In-Store Return (insert your name)” in the subject line to claim your return.

Please note: all in-store returns are for store credit ONLY.  

If the online purchase is damaged or has a manufactured defect upon arrival, please contact The Coastal Cottage within 5 days to make your claim. 

Please note: that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered faulty and are non-returnable. 

We will issue any refunds to the original credit card used for online purchases within 14 days of receipt of the return if the item follows our guidelines. This refund will include the value of the items returned, including the relevant taxes, but excluding shipping or return carrier costs. 

Please note: Processing time lines of your return are dependent on your bank and any items marked as FINAL SALE are non-returnable

Return Guidelines

  • Any online item requested out of the 14 day time frame may not be returned. Any item requested for return in-store within or out of the 14 day time frame is returned for store credit only 
  • Merchandise must be in new & original condition
  • Items can not be worn, washed or altered in any way
  • All tags must be in original place 
  • Packing slip must be included in with return  

If a returned item falls under this category, you will be notified via email from The Coastal Cottage and the item with be discarded.  If you would like the damaged item back, you are responsible for return shipping costs.

Please note: Shipping & handling charges are non-refundable. 

Final Sale Items  

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged: Earrings, Beauty products, Gift Cards, Custom order items, & Sale or Clearance Items.

Please note: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. 

USPS (Parcel Select Ground) 2-8 Business Days in most cases
USPS (Priority Mail Express) 2-3 Business Days in most cases

If you are ordering outside of the United States, please contact us via email at thecoastalcottageshop@gmail.com with “International Order, (insert name)” in the subject line. In the email, please write what you would like to order. We will then calculate the cost of the items & shipping, then process your order via email.
